“We grow in the true image of those we love while the environment of our upbringing with enabling criteria maketh a complete man”
There is no doubt, Emeritus Professor Kamil Olaonipekun Alausa is a cloned copy of the late Pa Alhaji M.S Alausa of blessed memory. It is, however, an understatement to restate the well-known fact that the revered and distinguished Patriarch of the Great Alausa Dynasty made remarkable and historic contributions to the growth of Islam and education in Ijebuland which are worthy of celebration and emulation. The Patriarch’s contributions include but not limited to the founding of the Ansar-Ud-deen Society of Nigeria as a foundation member, establishment of Muslim Primary, Modern, Secondary & Teacher Training Institutions in order to encourage and promote western education of muslim youths without compromising their Islamic faith. Moreover, as the Chairman of the Building Committee for the construction of Ijebu-Ode Central Mosque, the name of the late Pa Alhaji M.S Alausa and his peers in Ijebu-Ode Muslim Community Association remain etched on the marble with indelible footprints in the sand of time because of their pioneering and selfless services to Ijebuland that spilled over to other parts of Western Region of Nigeria.
However, following the remarkable footprints of his late father, Emeritus Professor Pekun Alausa, a distinguished Professor of Medical Microbiology with proven track records locally and internationally lives to the family name as his commitments to education and Islam come are indeed a continuation of the established service.
Moreover, the upgrade and refurbishment of the Female Ward at the General Hospital Ijebu-Ode to mark his birthday are inline with his professional ethics as a celebrated scholar, reseracher and administrator par excellence with good characters and decorum of a fine gentleman.
Furthermore, his commitment to excellence is anchored on the provision of good healthcare services to humanity.
Also, his commitment to the growth of Islam is a true reflection of his pedigree as he fits-in to the landmark accomplishments as summarised above.
Furthermore, he was deeply involved in the establishment of Fountain University Osogbo, a tertiary institution of NASFAT, the upgrade and the renovation of the Central Mosque, Ijebu-Ode and now the dedication of a newly built the Abibat Alausa Mosque in honor of his late mother to celebrate his 75th birthday in the land of the living. What a remarkable and unique contribution to the Muslim Community from a distinguished son from a distinguished family and with distinguished accomplishments in his profession, community service and social life in general.
In furtherance of the above, the entire Ijebu Muslim College Old Students Association (IMCOSA) congratulates and celebrates our revered, enigmatic and academic icon of uncommon virtues, an Emeritus Professor and Fellow of the prestigious Academy of Medicine whose natural endowment and intellectual exploration combined with his Islamic faith and societal dispositions are enviable and worthy of emulation. Congratulations and happy birthday, we are indeed very proud and pleased to be associated with you, sir.
