As the lawyers will say, the facts speak for themselves.  What more analysis is required. The stats show over population without the needed or adequate teaching and learning infrastructure. We also don’t have enough teachers in core subjects of English and Maths. The physical infrastructure mainly classrooms are maintained by IMCOSA. As shown in the stats, IMCOSA pays for 5 teachers and when IMCOSA trains some teachers, the teachers get transferred to other schools. The Govt does not bother to make provision for classrooms  maintenance as well as utilities in the school. It pushes most critical maintenance responsibilities to IMCOSA through black mail. 

The Assembly halls built by IMCOSA are not controlled by IMCOSA. …

ST  BILESANMI: “Why is the State Government collecting the revenues of the hall that does not belong to them? This should be looked into seriously.”

SALAMI OLAWALE: “The School belongs to Govt.  Any structure you put on ground in the school automatically belongs to Govt. That is why all revenues go to Govt and they give the School part of it for after event clean up.  We have been engaging the ministry on taking over the management of the halls since we are the one maintaining them,but we have not succeeded. We have just repainted the Knowledge Hall and installed steel railings on the stairs at a cost of about N5.4m.”

ALH. BUNMI ABDULLAH: “That is serious. Why will the State Government be collecting revenue from the Hall? This is tandem with the saying reaping from where you did not sow.”

DR. TOLA TIJANI: “Very good intellectual, cogent observations. Valiant and gallant past officers of NATIONAL IMCOSA had this battle with different governments of the state. The dissonance is in the educational policy of governments and aspiration of we IMCOSANS in being proud of our alma mata performance in external examinations. A life long battle I will say as it is a national problem with other schools even tertiary institutions today.”
